All Services Success Stories

Donald Hale

Retiree Donald Hale enjoys outdoor activities and more. A gym injury, however, put everything on hold. Donald tore his rotator cuff and biceps tendon. Post-operatively, Donald began physical therapy. The clinical team designed a rehabilitation program to get Donald moving safely and effectively with the goal of getting back into the gym. "Progress was steady throughout the physical therapy regimen, beginning with basic movements and adding different movements each week," Donald shared. "Getting out of the sling was the start of progressing more quickly." The team helped Donald reach numerous milestones. "I want to get back to my normal routine," he said. "All activities are back to normal [except] having to ease back into weight training." We are pumped for you, Donald. We hope you continue to make gains as you finish physical therapy. Thank you for choosing us on your rehabilitation journey.

LaTanya Easterly

LaTanya Easterly was suffering from extreme knee pain. Diagnosed with degenerative arthritis, her primary care physician referred her for physical therapy. LaTanya was hopeful to get back to gardening, playing with her grandkids and daily activities without pain. LaTanya connected with our clinical team who encouraged her throughout the care process. Range of motion and general conditioning became a priority as motion can help lubricate the joints and decrease painful symptoms. "I was excited about going to therapy, but the first visit was extremely hard," she said. "I had not done any of these exercises in years." With the continued support and guidance of the clinicians, LaTanya got into a groove with her program. Eventually, she stated to experience relief and reached her personal goal of walking a mile. That is outstanding, LaTanya. Movement is medicine and we thank you for choosing us on your rehabilitation journey.

Beverly Williams

Beverly Williams is known for doing her thing. From shopping to volleyball to watching TV, nothing slowed Beverly down. That is until an injury affected her back, hip and leg. "I'm not sure what happened, but I could not stand more than 10 minutes at a time," she said. Beverly spoke to her physician, who referred her to physical therapy for help. Our clinical team rallied around Beverly and created a physical therapy program designed to get her back to the things she loved. "My healing began when I was trained to turn over properly," she said. "Now, I feel the best I have felt in a long time." Beverly progressed to walking, sitting and playing volleyball like her outlined goals. She was so excited to make those gains and appreciative of the team. Thank you for choosing us on your rehabilitation journey.

Don Cluck

Don Cluck hurt his left shoulder while playing pickleball. He continued to play after the injury until he just couldn't anymore. Unfortunately, he needed surgery to improve. One week after surgery, Don began physical therapy at our local center. Working with the physical therapists, he progressed from pain to shoulder brace removal to arm extension and so on. "I wanted the freedom to do anything without pain with my left arm," Don said. "Especially playing pickleball, and I am." We are so glad to hear you are back on the pickleball court playing pain free, Don. Thank you for choosing us on your rehabilitation journey.

Kenneth James

Kenneth James is no stranger to surgery. Sports and work excess required him to have two knee replacements, a hip replacement and a steel plate placed in his right hip. Kenneth's independence is a driving force behind his recovery. He came to our center using a walker and shared that he wants to walk again without aid and get his endurance back. He also wants to be mobile enough to visit his loved ones who are out of state. To help him achieve those goals, Kenneth began treatment with a team of clinicians at our center. "What stands out to me is how they know what steps to take to strengthen my weakness," he said. "They offer such a variety of exercises, and all the therapists were very professional and friendly." Thank you for choosing us on your rehabilitation journey.

April Smith

April Smith enjoys many activities. She participates in Special Olympics, basketball, dancing and more. Unfortunately, the 37-year-old had ongoing knee pain while sitting or upon waking and moving about. With a physician referral, April began physical therapy. "Despite having some mental challenges and difficulty understanding, it only took half a session to see April's connection," Pat Smith, April's mom, shared. "[The clinicians'] smile, attitude, creativity and patience were a joy to watch." April's rehabilitation plan included variety in strength and functional exercises. While having initial reservations about some aspects of the treatment plan, those concerns quickly faded as various goals were met. With decreased pain, April has returned to her activities. "April looked forward to seeing [the staff] because of their wonderful interactions," Pat said. "Because of the wonderful attitudes and camaraderie, I would definitely recommend this group, especially to those with special needs."
