Concussion Rehabilitation

Concussions can happen to anyone

An injury that occurs when the brain moves around or twists inside the head, a concussion can result from an impact or blow to the head, neck or body. An injury like this can happen to anyone, at any age, from participating in sports to experiencing a fall or car accident.

After suffering a concussion, you may experience:

  • Headaches and/or neck pain
  • Dizziness
  • Light and/or noise sensitivity
  • Double and/or blurred vision
  • Difficulty thinking
  • Vertigo or imbalance
  • Fatigue

Concussion symptoms and concussion-recovery timelines are unique for each person. That's why our physical therapists do a comprehensive exam and develop an individualized care plan to help get you back to the activities you enjoy.

If you have sustained a concussion, immediate rest is the most important first step in recovery. Your doctor will determine if and when you can return to activity, school, work or athletics. Experiencing the power of physical therapy can help you reach that return safely and swiftly.
